Unclogging the Chaos: Crafting the 1-Tom-Plumber Brand Book

Some brands need a logo.Others need a launchpad.
1-Tom-Plumber already had strong assets: bold fonts, a distinctive logo, and a signature pink that demanded attention. But they needed a way to bring it all together. We pulled their entire system and assets into one bold, stunning brand book, creating a fully unified identity that gives every part of their franchise operation a clear, consistent voice.
Establishing a Visual Hierarchy
We started by organizing their existing fonts into a structured typographic system. Bold, high-impact titles and crisp subheads create clear entry points, while clean and consistent body text supports the content beneath. This approach built a strong hierarchy across every spread, guiding the reader and giving the brand a voice that feels confident and deliberate.

Creating a Dynamic Backdrop
Once the structure was in place, we developed a signature backdrop system to bring energy and motion to the book. At its core is a full-page hexagonal grid, punctuated with embossed plunger head hex tiles placed along the edges of each spread. The tiles flow seamlessly from page to page, creating a continuous rhythm throughout the book.
Layered gradient treatments give the backdrop depth and forward momentum. As readers move through the book, the design carries them with it and reinforces the brand’s sense of energy and progress without distracting from the content.
Framing the Content
To keep the layouts clean against these vibrant backgrounds, we introduced rounded rectangular display surfaces to showcase key graphics and information. These frames lift content off the backdrop, adding clarity and balance while preserving the bold personality of the brand.

Interactive and Easy to Use
The brand book was designed to be as functional as it is beautiful. It includes a fully interactive table of contents where every section title is clickable and takes you directly to that section.
All brand assets, from fonts and logo files to color palettes, brand patterns, videos and in-depth brand standard documents, are linked throughout the book. Click a graphic and it takes you straight to the source. No searching, no confusion, just instant access.
The Result
What we delivered is more than a brand book. It’s a living system, a cohesive and intuitive platform that lets every franchise location show up bold, consistent, and unmistakably 1-Tom-Plumber.
